Ever since his appointment to Artistic Director at Louis Vuitton, people were curious to see Virgil Abloh‘s first design for the luxury fashion brand. Now we finally get a first look at the Louis Vuitton LV 408.
Revealed via the designer’s Instagram account, an official teaser pic shows the shoe’s outsole and parts of the upper. The bottoms bear a striking resemblance to that of the Air Jordan 3, featuring a similar profile. The highlighted red pivot point and “VUITTON” lettering also remind of the classic MJ signature sneaker.
An on-feet shot of A$AP Rocky sporting the kicks also provides a closer look at the upper. The high top cut features smooth leather in grey and black, while an ankle strap draws comparisons to other Nike b-ball sneakers like the Air Force 1. Referencing the shoe’s rumored name, white “408” lettering graces the collar.
The shoe is likely to be revealed during the Louis Vuitton Men’s SS19 show at Paris Fashion Week. Stay tuned for updates on that and peep the first pics of the basketball-inspired Louis Vuitton LV 408 below.
For more Virgil -designed kicks, you can still sign up for some OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 1 “UNC” raffles until June 22, 2018.
