As the world’s first shoe designed by skaters, the VANS Era is an absolute classic. When the brand first started out with family-owned stores back in the 60s, skaters even could walk into these places and customize their very own pair. With the VANS Mismatch Pack, the label now pays homage to that amazing time of individual style.
The release’s key silhouette of course is the aforementioned Era. Featuring a padded collar, waffle sole and a flashy design, it offers everything a skater could ask for. The canvas upper combines several seasonal colors and patterns, mixing pink and blue tones with camo and zebra styles. In addition to the Era, the retro-fueled design also comes to the Classic Slip-On and Style 36 silhouettes.
DID YOU KNOW?
Originally known as the VANS #95 and released in 1976, the Era was designed by Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. Both Alva and Peralata were members of the original Z-Boys (Zephyr Competition Team). They are considered pioneers of vertical skateboarding and both had a significant impact on the sport as we know it today.
