Earlier this month, we gave you an exclusive look at the adidas Prophere – a brand-new model by the Three Stripes brand that was revealed in a special event and will officially hit the shelves of retailers worldwide on December 15, 2017. With its aggressive design and prominent sole unit, the Prophere definitely is a controversial silhouette before even being released. But adidas now turned to a very special partner for some altercations that may reconcile some heads to the shoe that weren’t sold on the aesthetics before.
L.A.’s UNDFTD already crafted one of the most celebrated Air Max collabs of the year with their two Gucci-themed AM97 colorways, so it’s only right that sneaker boutique was chosen to add their midas touch to the Prophere. The sneaker’s Primeknit upper gets masked with a camo pattern that merges onto the distinctive sole unit. “UND” / “FTD” lettering is split over the lacing system, while the tongue labels and TPU heel cages show mutual logos from both adidas and UNDFTD. The camo elements are contrasted with black accents on the sole, lining and lacing to stay true to the Prophere’s combative look.
