The NikeAir Foamposite Pro “Silver Surfer” is Back

 In News, Nike

Guess who’s back? The NikeAir Foamposite Pro is one of those shoes that broke new ground with an unconventional silhouette and ultra-tech materials when it first hit shelves 20 years ago. Now Nike is bringing back one of the most cherished colorways: The metallic silver NikeAir Foamposite Pro, also nicknamed the “Silver Surfer”, will release in a limited edition run on March 17 at select retailers.

As one of several releases celebrating the 20th anniversary of the legendary basketball high-top designed by Eriv Avar, the NikeAir Foamposite Pro “Silver Surfer” packs a carbon fiber upper with a chrome-colored Swoosh on a translucent outsole.

Over the years, the NikeAir Foamposite Pro has inspired many storied collabs and limited edition colorways. The Supreme NikeAir Foamposite Pro in Red and Black comes to mind – scoring over $750 on eBay after massive camp outs – as well as 2012’s NikeAir Foamposite One “Galaxy” and the recently released “Dr. Doom” Foamposite Pro, which is kind of the yin to the Silver Surfer’s yang.

The NikeAir Foamposite Pro “Silver Surfer” will drop in a limited edition run on March 17, 9:00 AM CET at select retailers including Overkill (online release and remaining stock in-store at 11:00 AM) for EUR 219.95.
