After their stand-out collaborations with adidas Consortium last year, Ronnie Fieg’s streetwear emporium KITH and Copenhagen-based women’s sneaker store NAKED are back at it with a new Sneaker Exchange Program drop: Poised to arrive in early March, the KITH x NAKED adidas NMD City Sock 2 blends athletic tech with a contoured fit and fashion-forward styling.
Introduced for the first time as part of KITH x NAKED’s Transatlantic Project, the adidas NMD City Sock 2 is a new, sock-like silhouette which abandons the conventional lacing system. Created with women in mind – NAKED has a strong female following in our often male-dominated culture – the NMD City Sock 2 is also available in large enough sizes for men.
The upper is crafted from a melange Primeknit with diagonal line-pattern in two colorways inspired by explosions of powder paints: one in pink with a grey outsole, the other in sandstone with a gum-colored outsole. The shoe comes with an updated white BOOST midsole with lateral grooved stripe detailing.
Co-branding features prominently on the heel loops and leather insoles, while the full-length Three-Stripes medial strip – adding structural support to the upper – is also adorned with co-branded tabs for “Ronnie Fieg” and “NAKED”.
The KITH x NAKED adidas NMD City Sock 2 will pre-release on March 4, 2017 at KITH and NAKED stores and via kith.com and nakedcph.com. One week later, it will drop at global adidas Consortium accounts on March 11 with a €210 price tag.
