After the Superstar and Stan Smith silhouettes, adidas is bringing back another icon: in cooperation with young & creative minds such as Blondey McCoy, Na-Kel Smith, Tavia Bonetti and Tiffany Lighty, the Three Stripes celebrate the start of their new “No Time to Think” campaign for the adidas Campus.
The Campus is one of those classic sneakers that started in sportswear and were brought to the streets. With its rough suede, almost no other sneaker embodies the “Three Stripes DNA” as much as the Campus did. The “No Time to Think” campaign is inspired by the creative aesthetics of early ’90s New York City. Blondey, Na-Kel, Tavia and Tiffany represent the Campus campaign in an environment that was clearly inspired by skateboarding culture.
Together with photographer Kenneth Capello adidas created an unconventional style for the imagery in the natural urban habitat of the Campus. Since the adidas Campus made its debut in the 1980s, it was one of the hottest sneakers on and off the basketball court. Burgundy and Green were the main colors of the early Campus releases – and will be at the upcoming release in 2017!
The adidas Originals Campus is back on June 15 – several colorways will be available at adidas.com and selected retailers worldwide!
