With the Supreme x Nike Air Streak Spectrum Plus, the two brands present the latest addition to their collab history. Following recent drops like the NBA-themed AF1 or the Air Humara, the NYC skate brand now unarchives a model from the early 2000s.
First released in 2003, the Air Spectrum Plus never really caught on with people upon its original launch. Until this unarchiving by Supreme, the Nike running shoe remained a rather obscure silhouette that only few heads actually had on their radar at all.
Now Supreme revamps the flashy mix of mesh and leather, even referencing the original “Comet Red” colorway. Next to this “White/Habanero Red-Black” (AQ1279-100) option, the shoes also comes in a “Black/White-Volt” (AQ1279-001) version. A Supreme logo graces the tongue of each colorway, while the heels feature a subtle “World Famous Supreme” emblem. And just like the original Nike release, Supreme’s Air Streak Spectrum Plus iterations provide comfy Zoom Air cushioning.
