UK retailer size? already released quite a few amazing collaborations this year. To close out 2018 in style, the sneaker store now presents the outstanding size x Colnago x adidas collection.
For this project, size unites two legendary brands from different ends of the sporting goods spectrum. Both adidas and Colnago were established around the same time and share a common vision of constant innovation.
On the one hand, adidas of course became one of the world’s leading sneaker and sportswear manufacturers. Colnago on the other hand produces high-end road-racing bikes. As classicism meets forward thinking, the two sneakers in the size collab pack combine design aspects from the two brands.
The line-up includes the Kamanda – a design experiment inspired by football fans’ favourite styles of the 80s; and the Trimm Star, released in 1985 as a lightweight training shoe. Both sneakers are finished in Pellegrini Italian leather. Recycled rubber appears on the Trimm Star outsole to imitate the tyres of a classic 70s racing bike. A glossy metallic finish on the stripes and heel tab references the Saronni red stripes on the classic Colnago paint job.
The outsole on the forward-thinking Kamanda is transparent to show the carbon fibre effect reflecting the modern Colnago bikes. A premium suede upper finalizes the pack’s second sneaker.
