As Air Max Day is approaching, we recently teamed up with Nike and SNIPES to hold our Shots in the Air competition in Berlin. Eight upcoming sneaker photographers headed to the German capital to take part in a photography workshop and competition hosted by professional shooter Kane Holz (@kane).
Now the jury that consisted of Kane as well as folks from both Snipes and Sneakers Mag took a close look at all of the amazing shots that were made during that special event – and we have three winners. Thank you to the 8 participants who all put out great work! Without further ado, here are the pics from our contestans and Top 3.

3. Nik Müller
Nik managed to explain the whole theme in one shot. He included the hashtag and managed to highlight the location, the Air Max 270 and photography all in one by using the lights. Great shot!
2. Luis Sulzmann
Luis both discovered and illuminated this spot at the location on his own. He also did something completely unique and showed his own style on this one – and you know we gotta reward that.
1. Niklas Datum
Niklas perfectly captured the mood of the location, highlighted the shoes in a nice pose and also brought in a nice accent with the shadow on the wall. That’s why this shot by Niklas earned the top spot of SHOTS IN THE AIR!
