At the end of 2018, ASICS teamed up with Limited ETD and Singapore’s OG sneaker artist, MarkOng, a.k.a. SBTG. After an Asia-exclusive release in December, the Limited EDT x SBTG x ASICS GEL-LYTE III Monsoon Patrol now also drops at global stores.
Inspired by monsoon season and SBTG’s home city of Singapore, the weatherproof sneaker is an essential piece of footwear for urban explorers. Next to a triple-density sole, it features a nylon toe box combined with a suede upper. The most distinct element on this GEL-LYTE III though is the removable nylon tongue cover with a gutter hook system.
Finished in army green and light brown colors, the upper sits on a white midsole with light brown bottoms. A subtle camo pattern, spec lettering on the heel quarter as well as collaborative branding on the tongue label add finishing touches.
