Saucony is getting into summer 2017 with a new iteration of the Grid SD model inspired by sunsets and long nights spent outside with friends. Currently making its way into Europe in a limited release, the Saucony SELECT Grid SD “Summer Nights” will be available soon in men’s and women’s sizes.

Originally released in 1991, the Grid SD model remains a fan favorite and has recently made a return in March ‘17’s expansion of Saucony’s Vintage Range.

The Boston-based brand rendered the suede in a navy base, contrasted by pink color blocking to symbolize the colors of sunset. In terms of materials, the premium shoe is enhanced with Wolverine Silkee Suede on the heel, leather accents on the mid-foot, and a Pink 3M toebox and heel counter accent hit.

For added flair, the latest Grid SD features 3M-reflective toebox detailing – visible at night under car headlights – together with gold speckled details on the ice-colored outsole and a TPU piece over the lateral.

Rounding out the consistent execution of colorways, the classic runner comes with flat waxed laces, also in navy blue or pink, if that’s your flavor. The insole is also imprinted with a color swirl pattern in the “Summer Nights” theme color palette.

Fans in the United States are already raving about this one, including Superstar Fresh in this unboxing video:

The Saucony SELECT Grid SD “Summer Nights” will release in Europe in the next coming days, including an August 19 midnight release at 43einhalb
