Being one of the absolute New Balance evergreen silhouettes, the 574 usually features rather subtle colors on premium leathers to serve as a versatile staple in any well-assorted runner rotation. But for their latest release, the Boston brand reached out to Mexican fashion designer Ricardo Seco for a different approach.
Paying tribute to his own heritage and passion for athletic wear at the same time, Seco reimagines the NB 574 in four different eye-catching colorways. Using an innovative moulded beading technique (U.S Patent Pending), the model receives an entirely new upper material that was never seen before on a New Balance shoe. The multicolored patterns on all four iterations reference a distinctive Mexican artisanal style, while premium Nubuck and rich leather tongue lining add a level of luxury to these bold designs. Co-branded inserts and special graphic boxes that match the shoes round off this unique New Balance collaboration.
