The “Jewel” swoosh was originally introduced in 1996 on the Nike Air Force 1 and Cortez silhouettes, in 1997 Nike started to use the smaller “understatement” swoosh on its flagship Air Max 1 too. In the early 2000s, the “Jewel” somehow was gone and not brought back until now. After the Nike Air Cortez “Jewel” and several Air Force 1 variants, June 15 marks the big day of the comeback of the Nike Air Max 1 Premium SC “Jewel” in the “Rare Ruby” and “Black Diamond” colorways.
