Recap: At Sneakerness Amsterdam with Gramps

 In Culture

As you might have seen, Sneakerness Amsterdam 2017 went down last weekend. Again, thousands of sneakerheads and streetwear aficionados from all over Europe made their way to the Netherlands to be part of one of the biggest sneaker events on the continent.

As in the years before, Kromhouthal was a great location for selling, trading, buying or just talking kicks all weekend. Some of the currently rarest sneakers from Adidas, Nike, Asics and Co were offered – some of them for crazy prices. According to Hypebeast, the Kanye West x Luis Vuitton (4000€) was the most expensive shoe, followed by the Nike Air Max 1 +41 for 3500€!

This year’s Sneakerness Amsterdam had a special guest: 71-years old hypebeast “Gramps” who was featured in our last print magazine made a visit to Amsterdam for the big event. Luckily his grandson Jannik aka Jaadiee  aka online editor of Sneakers Magazine was with him to take some amazing pics. We asked Gramps for his favorite sneaker at Sneakerness Amsterdam – here’s what he answered:

“The amount of sneakers was just insane and makes it hard to decide. All in all, the Solebox Ultraboost is my favorite! I like the clean look and the red outsole! Also the latest Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 are so clean. But in general I’m a huge fan of UltraBoost – it’s just so comfortable!”
