Many designers play it safe and opt for a simple reissue of archive styles to cater to the chunky sneaker craze. But in the light of that trend, PUMA creeps up on the scene to surprise us with a brand-new silhouette for 2018. Rooted in 90s nostalgia and the brand’s collabs with Alexander McQueen, the PUMA Thunder Spectra leaps out with the dark aesthetics of a feline predator.
Lightning strikes the black base in form of bright color accents that add just the right amount of vibrancy to the silhouette. Stacked midsole layers and jagged shapes capture the menacing aesthetics that make the Thunder Spectra one of this year’s most exciting new releases.
As molded TPU elements provide support and stability, the shoe’s athletic side also comes into play. A tongue label with the PUMA logo and black laces then complete the look.
