Puma IGNITE Limitless Hi Tech and Extreme Hi Tech will drop Thursday
Herzogenaurach-based footwear brand Puma is starting the year on a futuristic note by releasing a brand-new silhouette: True to the claim “Run the Streets,” the Puma IGNITE Limitless was designed to withstand the wear and tear of urban life with a number of protective features and performance technologies.
Poised to release this Thursday, January 12, the new silhouette will be available in two variations: The Puma IGNITE Limitless Hi Tech and Extreme Hi Tech. Both create a unique, on-trend aesthetic with prominent branding, rounded edges and a contrast of matted and shiny materializations across the upper.
The urban design is enhanced by reflective 3M elements placed on the heel and tongue of both models, as well as a PU-sealed, water-proof toe cap. For added stability, the outsole is reinforced with Kevlar – also the material in bullet-proof vests – underneath the arches. Both IGNITE Limitless variations also feature an IGNITE FOAM midsole and sockliner sleeves for easy entry.
As the main differentiator, the Puma IGNITE Limitless Hi Tech features laces covered by protective PU over the eyelets. Meanwhile, the Extreme Hi Tech is a lace-less version secured by an elastic foot strap adorned with bold Puma branding, complemented by a high heel section.
Modelling the sneakers for the launch campaign is Toronto-based recording artist The Weeknd, who lends some Star(boy) power to Puma’s latest silhouette.
The Puma IGNITE Limitless Hi Tech and Extreme Hi Tech models will release on January 12 on PUMA.com, at all Puma stores, and select retailers including Solebox, Overkill, and Titolo.
