Puma Clyde COOGI

 In News, Other Brands

Nothing conjures up dreams of 1990s hip-hop and street culture like kaleidoscopic-patterned COOGI sweaters, immortalized by rap greats such as the Notorious BIG. Puma is paying tribute to this glorious era with a special COOGI rendition of the Clyde low-top and a few key apparel pieces in direct collaboration with the iconic label.

After already making a few limited appearances, the Puma Clyde COOGI returns in two versions: The first features an upper wrapped entirely in the signature tribal patterns of the Australian label, contrasted by a black sidestripe on an all-white sole. According to the official release, every shoe is one-of-a-kind, due to the complexity of COOGI’s signature patterns.

The second shoe flips the script on the formula, as only the side-striped, heel patch and inner lining are rendered in exotic COOGI style while the rest of the leather upper is all-black on an all-white sole. Bringing the 1990s throwback full-circle, logo patches, side branding and lace aglets are executed in shiny gold.

The collection also includes a white athletic windbreaker with COOGI patterned color blocking as well as an all-over print patterned shirt and a cross-branded shirt in black.

The Puma Clyde COOGI return on May 20, available exclusively at select retailers including Overkill and Titolo. And if you’re looking to inject more COOGI style into your wardrobe, have a look at the official COOGI web store.
