Pacemaker is the brainchild of Till Jagla a.k.a. @eartothestreet and the German streetwear brand continues to delight with exceptional projects. For their latest collab, they linked up with Hamburg-based football club for a collection that aims to make a difference. Based on the universal football slogan “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, the Pacemaker x St Pauli collection features pieces that champion moral courage.
“FC St. Pauli, an internationally recognised German Football Team founded in Hamburg on May 15, 1910 and throughout their 109-year history, the club has been regarded for its commitment to social justice, inclusion and progressive values worldwide. They have shown exceptional social awareness responsibility by taking a political football team stand against all forms of bigotry.”
The “SUNSHINE IN HELL” streetwear collection mixes bright colours and punchy slogans with the typical progressive Pacemaker design. In addition, the pieces feature both the Pacemaker bunny and St. Pauli’s legendary skull-and-crossbones logo. The whole joint project is also linked to an important social cause. With every sold item, the collab partners will donate 2€ to Homeless People in Hamburg with the support of the local CARITAS organization.
DID YOU KNOW?
In 1991, fans of FC St. Pauli obtained the inclusion of paragraph 6 into the rules of the stadium. This paragraph strictly prohibits racist, fascist, sexist or homophobic comments and St. Pauli was the first German club to take such a step.
