If you’re a pro skateboarder starting your own board company, it really helps when your shoe sponsor happens to be Nike SB. That’s why Eric Koston and Guy Mariano’s new deck brand Numbers Edition is coming out the gate swinging with an exclusive Nike SB collab.
Released today, the Numbers Brand x Nike SB Collab features a Blazer Low AC model – a low-top version of the Blazer basketball shoe – with velcro strap enclosures in two colorways: A clean Sail colorway, and a bold Team Red version are both crafted from premium suede.
Asked about the velcro enclosure, Guy Mariano offered: “You don’t get the ripped laces. And having those three straps gives a nice secure, lock-down fit for skating.”
Adorned with a Nike SB-branded heel tag, the shoe sits on a white midsole retained from the Blazer Hi model. As an update, the low-top includes Zoom Air cushioning in the heel, while the outsole provides extra grip via a herringbone tread.
In terms of branding, the inside of the velcro straps are adorned with the lettering NUMBERS edition and EST. 12:45. The insole features co-branded artwork with the words Nike SB and the Numbers insignia 12:45.
The Numbers Edition x Nike SB Blazer Low AC is now available online and at select skate shops with a $85.00 price tag. A collection of polo shirts and jackets with a 1990s prep theme will drop on April 15.
