As the weekend approaches, The North Face surely isn’t slowing down on releasing weatherized footwear that suits the cold season. After recent collaborations with VANS and Timberland, the world’s leading outdoor brand tapped Southern California’s Publish for a second edition of their creative partnership. While their last joint effort followed the theme of “Midnight in Antarctica”, this new collection is called “Earth’s Core” and features fiery colors on two TNF silhouettes.
With attention to outdoor aesthetics and durable tooling, the Litewave Ampere II HC is a hybrid trainer with a stretch neoprene mesh construction, no-sew TPU overlays and a durable sole construction which aims for enhanced traction. The black upper clashes with vibrant orange bottoms, TNF logos are placed on the ankle and forefoot while Publish’s “Today for tomorrow” slogan graces the quarter.
The same branding is found on the ThermoBall™ Traction Mule II, although the silhouette’s appearance goes in a whole ‘nother direction: the orange ripstop upper is made from 100% recycled/water-resistant PET and was finished for a convenient slip-on fit. The grippy rubber outsole makes these bivouac shoes your footwear of choice at basecamp, right before you put on the Litewave Ampere for your expedition to the earth’s core.
