The NikeLab division was established with explicit goal of pushing boundaries in athletic performance and sneaker design, so whenever they announce a brand-new silhouette it’s worth paying attention. With that said, here’s the think tank’s the latest addition to Nike’s All Conditions Gear (ACG) line: The new NikeLab ACG 07 CMTR model packs all-weather performance into a lace-less concept with sleek styling.
Poised for a May 18 release, the mid-top features a one-piece upper crafted from rip stop nylon complemented by a rubber outsole. Instead of laces, the NikeLab ACG 07 CMTR relies on buckled straps and bungee cords that wrap around the heel for an adjustable, contoured fit.
Initial colorways come in twos; the understated Triple Black and sporty Navy/Black/Sail. Supporting this low-profile aesthetic, branding is kept minimal with small Swooshes on the laterals, a Nike emblem on the tongues and ACG branding on the sleeves. For a subtle touch, the heels are adorned with a 3M reflective stripe to increase visibility at night.
The NikeLab ACG 07 CMTR will release on May 18 at select NikeLab locations and online. More details will follow.
