Another classic Nike running sneaker is about to have its big comeback. The Nike Air Vortex was initially released as a performance running shoe in 1985, together with the Vengeance and the Vector. Each one of them was made for a specific type of runner. The Nike Air Vortex was a lightweight yet stable shoe. In the mid and late 2000s, slim retro running sneakers were quite popular, dozens of colorways of the Air Vortex were released. But Nike stopped producing the different models of the V-Series years ago, while shoes such as the Nike Internationalist kept the 80s retro running vibe alife.

Now the slim silhouette with the typical 80s retro look is coming back. Big sneakerstores such as 43einhalb and Asphaltgold already list three colorways of the Air Vortex in their “Coming Soon” section. The Air Vortex will be available in Gym Red / Black – Pure Platinum – White, Black / White – Cool Grey – White and Armory Navy / Cobblestone – Summit White.

All three new colorways of the Nike Air Vortex will be available later in May at Asphaltgold, 43einhalb, The Good Will Out and other selected sneaker stores! 89€ seem to be fair for a nice summer sneaker.
