Nike scheint in diesem Jahr seine liebe zum Air Trainer 1 Mid neu entdeckt zu haben. In den letzten Wochen habe ich hier etliche Versionen des von John McEnroe berühmt gemachten Cross Training Schuhs vorgestellt. Als er mit dem Clorophyl-Colorway zum ersten mal den Tennis Court betrat, sorgte er für einen Paukenschlag, denn solch einen Tennisschuh hatte man noch nirgends sehen können.
Hier sehen wir einen doch recht dezenten Farbweg des Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid. Das Obermaterial ist aus Glattleder und im ersten Moment würde man sagen, dass es sich um ein schwarzes Upper bei diesem Air Trainer handelt. Doch bei genauerem Hinsehen muss man feststellen, dass die Farbe doch irgendwie nicht schwarz ist. Der Name des Colorways verrät es dann letztendlich: das Glattleder ist dunkelgrau. Auch der Swoosh weicht farblich nicht ab, so dass man ein einfarbiges Upper hat. Auch der Strap mit dem Nike Lettering, das Lining, die Außensohle und das Heel Tab, welches übrigens nicht aus Leder ist sondern gepolstertes Textil, kommen in diesem Dunkelgrau. Lediglich die Mittelsohle bleibt weiß. Cool kommt das scheinbar eingestanzte Nike Logo auf dem Heel und dem Strap.

Nike seems to celebrate the Air Trainer 1 Mid quite hard. Because we really have seen an unusual amount of colorways of this nice shoe which bad boy John McEnroe brought to life on the tennis court.
Here we see a quite decent colorway of the Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid. The upper is of smooth leather. At first sight you think that the color of the upper is black but soon you realize that it is more of a dark grey. Everything on the upper, from the base over the Swoosh to the lining, the heel tab, the strap with its Nike lettering and the tongue, is dark grey. Even the outsole is held in this anthracite. Only the white midsole is giving a contrast. A nice eyecatcher are the embossed Nike logos on the heel and the strap.
