Nike Air Penny 2 Is Up For The ‘Miami Heat’ Colorway Again

Im Februar soll der “Miami Heat” Retro Colorway des Nike Air Penny 2 ein weiteres Mal released werden. Im Jahr 2009 kam dieser Farbweg schon einmal auf den Markt, der OG des Nike Air Penny 2 erblickte 1996 das Licht des Basketballcourts. Der Namensgeber des Schuhs, Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, spielte während seiner illustren NBA-Karriere unter anderem auch für die Miami Heat, wo auch die Inspiration zu diesem Colorway herzuleiten ist.

Unter Basketballern und Liebhabern von Basketballschuhen der 90er jahre ist dieses Modell ein echter Klassiker. Eine rote Außensohle wird überbaut von einer mächtigen weißen Mittelsohle, die sich bis ins Upper zieht. Dieses ist hauptsächlich in schwarz gehalten. Ein roter Saum trennt das Overlay vom der Base. Auf dem Ankle und der Zunge sitzt das Penny Logo. Ein 180° Air Fenster zieht sich um den Hacken.

The original version of the Nike Air Penny 2 saw the light of a basketball court in 1996 for the first time. During his illustrious NBA career the namesake of the shoe, Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, played also for the Miami Heat, where the inspiration for this colorway comes from.

Among basketball players und lovers of basketball high top sneakers of the 90s, the shoe is a real classic. A red outsole sits underneath a massive and powerful white midsole, which even leads up into the upper, which is mainly held in black. A red seam separates the overlay from the base. On the ankle and tongue sits Penny’s logo. A 180° Air window wraps around the heel.
