Even though “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” has been off the air for more than two decades now, the hit sitcom’s influence lives on. Throughout the show’s 6-year run, Will Smith famously laced up a whole string of classic 90s kicks. From Air Jordans to Pennys to different Air Max models, Will always had his sneaker game on lock with some of the freshest trainers of the time.
Now sneaker customizer thebutcherbrand pays homage to Big Willie style through a pair of custom Uptempo Bel-Air. Freakin’ it with a flashy color makeover, the bold Nike silhouette defo gets jiggy with it.
The altercation of the “AIR” letters stands out especially, as they receive the signature “Fresh Prince” logo design. Vibrant spray paint hits of pink and yellow clash with a blue upper, while the white sole adds a clean contrast on the bottoms.
When thebutcherbrand first presented the pair a couple of weeks ago, he stated that he was hoping to be able to give the Air More Uptempo custom to Will Smith himself.
Apparently that actually happened now, as the actor-slash-rapper recently shared a shot of the shoes on Instagram. Have a look at the pics below and let’s see if Will steps out in his Uptempo Bel-Airs this summer-summer-summertime.

SNEAKERS!!! I call these the #belairs because I painted them to look like the #freshprinceofbelair logo so I could give them to @willsmith when he was in town. Maybe someone in Savannah can help me make that happen… please 😉 #customsneakers #airmoreuptempo #customnike #hesthedjimtherapper #kicksoftheday
