The Nike Air Max 1 train keeps on rollin’! After the first pic of the Air Max “Jewel” that we saw yesterday, many sneakerheads got pretty upset about the shape. It didn’t look like the “new and improved” shape of the Pinnacle Pack, the Og’s or the Atmos Elephant. But today, we were blown away by Footpatrol. The London-based store shot an amazing editorial of the Air Max 1 Jewel with perfectly matching apparel and one thing is obvious: the shape looks amazing. It’s no comparison to the earlier pic.
Also the material looks great. It could be the same leather than the one used on the Nike Air Max 1 Pinnacle Pack. What we also didn’t see on the first pic is the icey outsole with a big swoosh underneath. The first colorway of Nike Air Max 1 “Jewel” comes in White / University Red. White leather was used on the upper, contrasted by the small “jewel” swoosh, a red logo on the tongue and heel plus a red air bubble. Started in 1996, brought back in 2017 the “Jewel” could be a big story in the year of the 30th anniversary of Nike’s Air Max technology.
According to Footpatrol, the Nike Air Max 1 “Jewel” White/University Red will be available soon, although no date was mentioned. We’ll keep you updated. Make sure to have an eye on our blog and Facebook page! We are pretty sure that the “Jewel” will also hit Nike.com and stores such as 43einhalb and Asphaltgold.
