These New Balance MADE 997s Feature Bison Leather Uppers
Among sneaker conoisseurs, New Balance trainers already have a strong reputation for their exceptional quality. Now the brand releases the New Balance MADE 997 Bison Pack, using a very special premium material.
Released as the fourth model from the 990 series, the New Balance MADE 997 is an undeniable classic. Ever since its debut back in 1991, the silhouette was released in countless iterations. And its strengths always lies in a certain kind of simplicity. The “Bison Pack” is no different at first sight, featuring three different colorways in dark black, deep navy and crisp white. But the collection’s unusual name isn’t just smoke and mirrors. The three 997s actually feature farmed American Bison leather – a material that is softer, yet more durable than traditional leathers. This extraordinary upper choice adds a sense of sophistication to the silhouette that stands out even by the brand’s high “Made In USA” standards. A leather lining and ref lective details on the vamp overlay, collar underlay and N-logo underlay then finalize each of the three premium sneakers.
