Although we all knew that Kobe Bryant wasn’t on top of his game for the past few years, his announcement of retirement shook us like an earth quake. Bryant, the player that would go seven hours early to a Team USA scrimmage, just to practice. The player that would even keep on guarding in the toughest way, when everyone else was losing their motivation. Kobe Bryant, the man that walked off court by himself after tearing his achilles. He is a lot, a basketball player, a hustler on the court, a superstar and maybe even hard to get along with – but most of all he’s a champion. We are honored to have witnessed such an incredible and inspiring career. You are one of the greatest this game has ever seen.
In order to pay him homage we have selected a few of his nicest sneaker moments on court. Thank you for some of the most incredible basketball moments ever, Kobe Bryant.
Kobe’s signature shoes with adidas were the weirdest stuff we’ve seen on court so far. This silver version of the Kobe 1 looked just as weird as every other colorway.
This was back when young Kobe didn’t have his own Nike signature shoe yet. But let’s be honest, there’s worse than a pair of Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”
Kobe is well known for always competing with Michael Jordan, so it’s almost ironic to see him in Air Jordans, although they seem to be his favorite shoes to play in besided his own signature line. The fact that it’s the Lakers colorways makes the thing just slightly better. Air Jordan VII against Jordan.
His second signature shoe with Nike looked quite interesting and had a strap which no other variant of his models had. Just a little side fact. Looks like the guy who had to guard him was a liiiiittle too slow…*sipping tea*
