During the past few years, the Fusion 2.0 made a name for itself as one the most popular Karhu silhouettes. And after several collaborations and color variations, the Finnish athletic company now brings back the original with the Karhu Fusion 2.0 OG.
First launched back in 1996, the model initially returned in 2015 as the 2.0 version as we know it today. But for this drop, the brand banks on the authentic aesthetics of the classic. Shortened webbing tape on the medial side and Karhu word marks on the leather panel and heel tab differ from in-line releases and reference the OG. The printed lycra material surrounding the ankle and heel collar provides further retro feel. And of course the shoe shines in its original “White / Ultramarine Green”.
To complete this throwback drop, a special box salutes the Fusion’s original heel print and tongue label. On top of that, Karhu teamed up with Finnish home textile leader Finlayson to produce a collaborative sports towel. In celebration of Finlayson’s 60th anniversary, it features their classic Coronna print and comes free with every pair of the Fusion 2.0 OG.
