One could argue that New Balance seems to be indulging in reminiscence lately, if it wasn’t for the lovely updates they are giving their recent re-releases. After revisiting their “Kennedy” collaboration with Concepts earlier this month, the Boston brand now tapped London’s Footpatrol to unarchive a special project the two had been working on together in 2007. This 576 is still a definite fan favorite as it came with interchangeable “N” logos and the infamous gas mask logo patch, set against a smooth premium leather upper.
For the 10th anniversary of this collab, Footpatrol took inspiration from the original shoes monochromatic base, choosing a black leather upper sitting atop a white midsole. Vivid colors are applied to the side logos as well as the tongue and heel branding as a contrast, while 5 pairs of laces allow for countless customization options. All of the Foopatrol NBs will come with a dual-branded tote bag and a sticker sheet featuring the illustrations of Pete Hellicar, who also designed the artwork that accompanied the 2007 collaboration.
