Foot Locker and adidas joined forces to release a series of collabs for special sporting and cultural events throughout 2019. The first shoe of this joint effort to release is the Foot Locker x adidas SPEEDFACTORY AM4ATL for Super Bowl LIII.
During all the recent controversy and protests surrounding the NFL, that fact the league’s players represent various different cultures often falls behind. The SPEEDFACTORY AM4ATL celebrates these multicultural backgrounds in each team with a multicolored tie-dye upper.
But of course the Super Bowl is also about outstanding athletic performances. So it’s only right that adidas brings out their current flagship performance technology. The shoe uses data collected from athletes to optimize the sneaker. In addition to that, SPEEDFACTORY releases aim to reduce material usage for a forward-thinking production approach. The fan-favorite full-length BOOST sole, reflective Three Stripes branding and a NFC chip on the tongue that contains digital bonus content finalize this outstanding sneaker.
Next to the lifestyle model, a pair of football cleats – featuring a similar design sans BOOST sole – completes the collaboration. The cleats will be worn by select players participating in the 2019 NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando on January 27.
