Sneakerness is the biggest sneaker event platform in Europe and always up for something good. For the Fall 2017 edition of Sneakerness Paris, the show again teamed up with PUMA on a very limited release: The PUMA x Sneakerness “Race Club Pack”.
The pack was designed by Sneakerness Paris mastermind Francky Bendahan (read his SNEAKERS Magazine interview here) and puts a new twist on the Tsugi Blaze PUMA silhouette. The story revolves around legends of 1990s Formula 1 racing such as Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna.
Inspired by Formula 1 Legends
This racing influence reflects in the red, black and asphalt black top colorway of the shoe. The checkered heel tab is a reference to the coveted checkered flag that is the ultimate prize for every Formula 1 champion.
Further racing-inspired details include a checkered flag logo on the tongue, plus asphalt graphics on the insole.
In terms of materials, Francky B. loaded the Tsugi Blaze with premium suede, performance knit and gum sole. The shoe features cross-branding for PUMA and Sneakerness.
Another worthy entry in a list of collabs between Sneakerness and the German brand. Some of you may also remember last year’s collab with PUMA on the “Blaze of Glory” pack for Sneakerness Paris.
The Sneakerness Race Club Pack will sell in a limited run of 150 pairs at the Sneakerness show on September 9 and 10 at the Docks of the Cité de la Mode and Design in Paris, France with a EUR 160.00 price tag.
