After months of leaks and speculations, the Dragon Ball Z x adidas collection finally gets a release date. The first two shoes take us back to the Namek saga and the legendary face-off between Goku and Frieza.
Representing recurring enemy Frieza, the Yung-1 (D97048) features a suede upper in different hues of white and purple. Pink highlights on the forefoot, outsole and side panel round out the design.
On the other hand, main character Goku’s new signature sneaker is the ZX 500 RM (D97046). The orange and blue base as well as the red laces take inspirations from the Sayan’s trademark battle dress. A stitched Flying Nimbus cloud on the forefoot serves as a nice little detail, while the full-length BOOST cushioning makes your walk almost as comfy as riding a cloud.
Both adidas shoes include branded insoles and come in specially designed shoe boxes. They feature a DBZ logo on the top and a split image on the back that shows a complete artwork when all boxes are placed side by side. Each respective shoe’s corresponding character plus a Dragon Ball graphic grace the other side of the box.
