For 2018’s Spring and Summer seasons, Italian sportswear powerhouse Diadora banks on their standout stylistics from decades past for a retro-inspired take on modern sportswear. Decked out in vintage aesthetics, the footwear and apparel pieces embody the brand’s heritage while heading to the future.
The collection’s standout sneaker is the B. Elite, a timeless tennis silhouette. Staying true to the shoe’s original shape and construction, color and material variations as well as premium “Made in Italy” versions complete the range.
On the apparel side, the men’s range is headed by the 1980s-inspired track jacket and complemented by the new slim fit track pants in clean black and white contrasts. For girls, the track jacket and individual pieces like the sports dress are dyed in pastel tone water colors and feature new feminine silhouettes.
To visualize the collection’s spirit of rebellion, Diadora teamed up with British singer IAMDDB, as well as rapper Rkomi and singer Joan Thiele (both from the brand’s origin country of Italy) for an energetic clip dubbed “Powered by Defiance”.
The image film was shot in Lisbon by photographer Nicolas Prado and features two rival cliques engaging in a number of street sport battles. You can check out the full video and also peep Diadora’s official campaign pics below.
