The Converse One Star ’74 has been a long-time favorite of skateboarders and (street) artists. For the latest in a long line of collaborations, California skate, surf, and streetwear brand Stussy is putting its signature twist on the classic Converse low-top in a style-savvy hairy suede edition.
Stussy injects its own flavor – and brand history – into this premium One Star ’74 with three highly recognizable graphics: the crown emblem, the dice, and the 8 ball are embroidered in the tongue.
All of the three understated colorways (Mauve Mist, Black, and Hunter Green) feature black foxing tape and the Star Chevron logo in tone-on-tone colors. Supplemented by color-matched laces, the resulting look can easily make the leap from the streets into the nightlife.
For extra flair, the insoles showcase classic Stussy graphics and photography from the brand’s storied history reaching all the way back to 1980.
The Converse One Star ’74 x Stussy will launch on December 2 at Converse retail stores, the Converse website and select Stussy and Converse retailers.
