Paris fashion and sneaker boutique colette will close its doors this December after two decades of providing an outstanding shopping experience and great collaborations along the way. To make the farewell a little easier for fans, the French shop has a couple of special projects with an array of friends and companions.
Teaming up with Karhu, the two partners combine the Finnish national flag and colette’s signature color pattern – which both are white and blue. Applied to the Fusion 2.0’s full grain leather upper, the shoe also celebrates famous pastries from the two respective countries: Finland’s braided Pullapitko bread and French crossaints are represented through subtle gum elements on the sole and eyelets. To further emphasize this special project and add a premium touch, both the Fusion 2.0 and the special box are made in Italy. This joint effort is rounded off with the famous colette dots on the tongue, speckled hiking laces as well as Karhu’s bear logo on the heels.
