Fall season is high fashion season and fashion label CLOT teams up with Converse for a strong entry. After some rumors, the CLOT x Converse One Star now has a September 14 release date. For the collab, the Converse One Star 74 received stylistic updates that reflect CLOT’s Fall ’17 collection, inspired by inner peace.
About the inspiration, CLOT offered: “The CLOT Fall 2017 Inner Peace range is inspired by traditional Chinese Tai Chi and the philosophies and practices surrounding the ancient martial art. Prints and designs make reference to twenty-four solar terms, noon, and the classic yin yang pattern.”

Inspired by Yin & Yang
The One Star’s monochromatic color scheme reflects the interplay of yin versus yang. It contrasts the black base of the upper with the white mid-sole and white collar crafted from hairy suede.
Further yin and yang reference feature on the shoe’s insole, imprinted with Chinese symbols that are also found on the foxing tape. The outer sole is also imprinted with a quote from philosopher Confucius in Mandarin, as well as translated into English.
The shoe was already teased in the short film “today : LAST TODAY” created by Vernie Yeung for CLOT:
