11 of the best sneakers of July 2018
The Air Presto has been one of the most coveted pairs from Virgil Abloh’s initial “THE TEN” collaboration. For a 2018 reprise, Nike released the first half of its “Polar Opposites” pack with this all-black colorway.
This joint work with Spanish store 24 Kilates is the very first collab of Hikmet Sugoer’s own brand SONRA. The vibrant colors on the premium upper reference Saffron, one of the world’s most costly spices by weight.
Conceived by legendary sneaker designer Christian Tresser, the Reebok Aztrek returned for the first time since 1993 in July. With its bulky throwback look, the shoe delivers that classic 90s vibe.
Back in 1991, Japanese athletic company ASICS first introduced their GEL-Saga running sneaker. The shoe also launched in an era where Japanese video games and anime started spilling over to the Western world. Now those distinct elements of entertainment culture inspired the Footpatrol x ASICS GEL-Saga “Anime”.

With the release of the YEEZY 500 “Blush”, Kanye West’s sneaker line with adidas recently gained some new appeal. So after a quick follow-up in form of the “Super Moon Yellow” colorway, the brand upped the ante with the “Utility Black” version.
The patchwork upper of this collab between size? and VANS pays tribute to the the good old days of handmade skate shoes. As a special feature, the logo print on the midsole returns for the first time in several decades and adds to the shoe’s unique aesthetics.
Previously used on the Zoom Vaporfly 4% and Zoom Vaporfly Elite, Nike’s ZoomX foam delivers 85 percent energy return and is the brand’s lightest foam. In July, the Swoosh introduced the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo as the latest edition to the series.
