11 of the best sneakers of April 2018
This brand-new adidas model had already been making the rounds for quite some time before finally releasing to the public now. Sporting a classic terrace culture-inspired upper that clashes with an agressive sole unit, the adidas Kamanda surely is one of the standout adidas releases of 2018.
Even those who grew tired of the whole dad shoe trend couldn’t help but appreciate PUMA’s effort in that vein. The chunky silhouette comes equipped with a thick sole unit, a great material mix and bright color accents that spice up the Thunder Spectra’s striking appearance.
Mizuno strikes again, this time teaming up with Highsnobiety for the third release of their lifestyle category. By re-imagening the classic Wave Rider, the collab partner nails the phoenix theme by combining flaming red details with ash grey tones on this one.
With this special edition, New Balance didn’t only pay homage to the 990’s timeless appeal – but also to the original price it retailed for back in 1982. Limited to only 1500 pairs worldwide, NB fans were able to pick up their pair for only $100 or 100 € at select stores worldwide.
Despite all the attention that new adidas models got lately, the UltraBOOST still remains a fan-favorite. Of course adding premium sneaker boutique UNDFTD to the equation only adds to the desirability – making this simple UB makeover a sought-after release this month.
Here’s yet another one of these adidas models that took quite a while from first being seeing to finally dropping. Breaking away from recycling the 350v2 in new colorways, the YEEZY 500 extends Kanye’s sneaker line-up with an interesting new silhouette.
Several upcoming atmos x Nike collaborations have been revelaed in early 2018 and this Air Max 95 makeover was the first to actually make it to the shelves. Even though only heads in Japan were able to cop their pair thus far, this collab once again shows that the two powerhouses are a force to be reckoned with.
The One Star has been a refreshing addition to Converse’s cast of staple sneakers in 2018 and the folks at SNS definitely know hot to put their own twist to a model like this. Dressed in camo designs, the ERDL leaf print developed by US Army in the 60 found its way onto two dope One Star colorways.
Even though it may not share the fame of the Bred, Black Toe or Chicago, Jordan heads definitely got love for this darksome Air Jordan 1 colorway. With its black-and-grey design on a smooth leather upper, the AJ1 “Shadow” is a no-brainer for OG heads and this year#s retro was no exception.
Upon his return to Twitter, Kanye West didn’t hold back on sharing his thoughts on Nike’s introduction of the M2K Tekno. But all “YEEZY 700 VIBES” aside, the Air Monarch-inspired shoe definiely is in tune with current trends while also being refreshingly easy on the wallet.
Errolson Hugh once again demonstrates his forward-thinking design approach by revamping the already futuristic VaporMax. A new heel clip and missing laces reflect ACRONYM’s signature aesthetics, while an energetic volt camo colorway graces the Flyknit upper.
