ASICS Tiger Gel-Mai Gets General Release in Two Colorways

Fans of late 1990s sneakers tech will be stoked: After becoming the focus of recent (super limited) collabs with Ronnie Fieg for “Legends Day” and Slam Jam, the ASICS Tiger Gel-Mai model will return in two colorways as a general release in all its OG glory.

Poised to drop on April 13 at select retailers including 43einhalb, the ASICS Tiger Gel-Mai will be available in two colorways: black/white and a blue/white version that begs to be rocked with a matching Nautica jacket or Hilfiger top for that full ‘90s flavor.

The ASICS Tiger Gel-Mai broke some new ground when it first released in the late 1990s: The synthetic upper was crafted from a single piece of material – replacing the classic ASICS stripes with a small logo on the midsole. The ultra-light shoe also featured a progressive lacing system with carefully appointed loops and a coil around the entry for added support.
