On the ocassion of revealing their 2018 summer line-up, Jordan Brand has finally confirmed the return of the Air Jordan 13 He Got Game. First released back in 1997, the “White/Black/True Red” iteration is one of the OG colorways. One year later, the shoe made a cameo in Spike Lee‘s movie “He Got Game”. On the feet of Denzel Washington’s character Jake Shuttlesworth, this classic AJ13 gained its now famous nickname. And now it returns right in time for the movie’s 20th anniversary.
The sneaker itself dons a black base that uses smooth leather in the front and suede in the back. White tumbled leather overlays bring in contrast and display the 13’s signature dimple pattern on the sidewalls. As the Tinker Hatfield-designed model takes inspirations from a black panther, the cat eye hologram and paw-shaped outsole pads complete the design.
