adidas Ultra Boost 3.0 – New Colorways January 1
New year, new colorways: adidas is kicking off 2017 by releasing the tech Ultra Boost 3.0 runner in a slew of new colorways. The new additions to the line will drop on January 1, including new hues such as navy, olive, maroon, and a buttery all-white version with a translucent three-stripe overlay.
Since its release in early 2015, the adidas Ultra Boost has carried its weight and remained a steady seller – sometimes selling out within hours and fetching price points north of $200 on eBay – through numerous iterations.
The 3.0-version retains the Boost sole featuring shock absorbing Torsion technology as well as the soft Primeknit upper. The branding on the heel looks more subdued and minimal than on previous iterations, supplemented by tone-on-tone lacing for a monochromatic overall finish.
For runners, the shoe’s Continental Rubber outsole provides extra grip in wet and dry conditions, while the STRETCHWEB rubber outsole flexes underfoot for an energized run.
If you look closely in the teaser image from athletic retailer Finish Line, there’s also a shot of the Ultra Boost Uncaged in a fiery multi-color Primeknit colorway finish.
