Der gute alte adidas Rod Laver hat eine feine, luxoriöse Überarbeitung erhalten. Dabei folgt adidas vor allem der Maxime “weniger ist mehr”, denn während das ursprüngliche Modell mit Ausnahme des Rod Laver Tags an der Ferse bereits fast aller Brandings beraubt wurde, gehen die hier gezeigten neuesten Versionen noch einen Schritt weiter, da sie gar keine Logos mehr aufweisen.
Dieses Pack besteht aus zwei Farbgebungen des adidas Rod Laver, einem mit schwarzem Upper und weißer Sohle und einem mit weißem Upper und weißer Sohle. Das Material beider Schuhe ist wohl sehr realitätsnahes Krokodilleder, soll heißen, die Prägung des Leders ist nahezu naturgetreu. Außerdem ist das Lining aus Vollleder. Schlanke Senkel in Schwarz an den schwarzen und Creme an den weißen Rod Lavers runden das Gesamtdesign der beiden Schuhe ab.
Die adidas Originals Consortium Rod Laver VIN werden bei der No74 in Berlin, der No42 in Paris und bei ausgewählten Consortiumhändlern weltweit vom 9. Mai an erhältlich sein.

The good old adidas Rod Laver VIN received a luxurious update. The motto of the shoe can be named as “less is more”. While the original adidas Rod Laver had already been stripped of all branding, except for the Rod Laver name tag at the heel, this latest version goes even further as there is no logo to be found anywhere on the upper.
Materialwise, the upper is made of almost lifelike crocodile-skin embossing on the side panels. There is a black and white version, both of premium leather. Apart from the upper, the shoes also feature full leather lining and a leather insole. Slim cotton laces, black on black and cream on white, round off the design of the Rod Laver VIN which fuses aesthetics of formal footwear with the characteristics of a sneaker.
The adidas Originals Consortium Rod Laver VIN will be available at No74 Berlin, No42 Paris and select Consortium retailers worldwide from May 9th.
