Nachdem das Superstar Supercolor Pack eingeschlagen hat wie eine Bombe und dafür sorgt, dass man mehr Superstars auf den Straßen sieht, als bei RUN DMC-Konzerten in den 80ern, erscheint nun eine erneute Zusammenarbeit zwischen adidas Originals und Pharrell. Basis ist der adidas Superstar Supershell. Pharell’s Idee war es, den Schuh hierbei als Leinwand zu nutzen, um nicht nur ein Signature-Pack, sondern kleine Kunstwerke herzustellen. Zur Verwirklichung seiner Idee hat er sich drei bekannte Künstler – Todd James, Mr. und Cass Bird – ins Boot geholt. Das Ergebnis sind zunächst sechs Paare, die von den drei Künstlern geschaffen wurden, sowie 6 Paare, die Pharell selbst entworfen hat! Die Kunst ist der rote Faden und das erkennt man ganz klar!
Die adidas Originals X Pharell “Artwork Collection” wird ab dem 7. August bei ausgewählten Händlern zu kaufen sein.
After the Superstar Supercolor Pack made the streets look like a RUN DMC concert in the 80s, Pharrell and adidas Originals are back with another collection. The adidas Originals by Pharrell “Artwork Collection” will include 12 pairs of the Superstar Supershell silhouette. Pharrell’s idea was to use the shoe as a canvas and make it a piece of art. In order to realize this concept he teamed up with the 3 popular artists Todd James, Mr. und Cass Bird. The results were six pairs of shoes that represent each artist’s style and six pairs that where designed by Pharrell. The adidas Originals by Pharrell is a unique but also versatile collection, which is the great result of creative expression.
The Artwork Collection will hit selected retailers on August 7th.
