adidas Football Brings Back the Iconic Predator Precision

Another great comeback: adidas re-releases the iconic Predator Precision football boot this week. The Predator Precision was originally released around Euro 2000 and worn by great players such as Patrick Kluivert, David Trezeguet, David Beckham and others during the games in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Predator Precision comes with a “shiny” dark blue colorway with red and white details. The curved three stripes cover most of the side of the shoes as they’re placed prominently. The adidas Performance logo is featured on the tongue.

In contrast to earlier Predator re-issues, the Predator Precision stays much closer to the original shoes. The upper made of premium kangaroo leather is combined with the key characteristic of the 2000 version, the fold-over tongue. The 2017 remake still has it, held in place with a Velcro strap. A difference to the original shoe is the sole plate. In order to make the re-issue of the adidas Predator Precision way lighter, the designers exchanged the original plate with the sole plate of the modern adidas ACE 17 boots.

As football boots and sneakers came much closer over the years, adidas not only will re-release the classic shoe for the pitch, there will be one version each for the stadium, cage and street use. All three come as a limited “adidas Predator Precision Pack”. Besides the classic one, a cage football version with Boost in its sole and a lifestyle version with a full Boost sole and a Torsion element will be part of the pack.

Release Info: adidas Predator Precision Pack

All three silhouettes of the “adidas Predator Precision Pack” will be available on September 9 via adidas.com and stores such as 11teamsports, Unisportstore and others. Prices vary between €159 for the cage variant and €349 for the Stadium version.
