Die adidas Consortium Tour ist im letzten Monat erfolgreich in New York City gestartet und ist bereits auf dem Weg zum zweiten Stopp der Tour. Die Reise geht an die amerikanische Westküste, genauer gesagt nach San Francisco. Dort eröffnet Nice Kicks gerade seine neue Filliale und feiert ausserdem 10-jähriges Jubiläum. Gäbe es da ein besseres Geschenk als die Teilnahme an der Consortium Tour mit eigener Kollabo? Wohl kaum! Als Hommage an die Stadt San Francisco haben sich die klugen Köpfe hinter Nice Kicks etwas ganz Besonderes einfallen lassen: Sie wollen mit dem Colorway die eine ganz besondere Ära der Stadt wieder auferleben lassen. Der Upper des NMD eignet sich perfekt dazu, also haben sie ihm kurzerhand einen psychedelischen Batik-Print verpasst, um so an die psychedelischen Konzert-Poster der Hippie-Zeit in den 1960ern zu erinnern. Um dem Schuh einen persönlichen Touch zu verpassen nutzen sie jedoch mit schwarz und rot ihre “eigenen” Farben und verzichten hier auf allzu bunte Experimente – gute Wahl, wenn ihr uns fragt!

The adidas Consortium Tour officially started with a big bang in January. adidas leaves NYC now for the second stop – San Fransisco! Nice Kicks open their New store and celebrate their 10th anniversary. They are getting a adidas Consortium collab –what better gift could there be? It is also the first adidas NMD collab ever so it’s definitely a special collab in many ways!
Nice Kicks uses the innovative and clean NMD silhouette and brings a characteristic era in the history of San Francisco onto the shoe, the psychedelic 60s rock era! The shoes upper comes with a tie-dye makeover inspired by classic 60s rock concert posters but instead of bright colors Nice Kicks uses red and black – their own colors! Nice Kicks really manages to combine a citys rich history with the technical aspects of a modern and innovative silhouette such as the NMD.
