adidas Consortium Tour: Kith – Tubular Doom PK
Die groß angekündigte „ADIDAS CONSORTIUM TOUR“ beginnt. 12 Städte und damit verbunden 12 Shops werden in 12 Monaten bereist, für jede Stadt wird es eine adidas Consortium Kollaboration geben.
Als Startpunkt hat sich adidas Originals mit New York City ein absolutes Schwergewicht ausgesucht, die Wahl kommt jedoch nicht von Ungefähr, gilt NYC doch als Geburtsort der Sneakerkultur.
Niemand Geringeres als Ronnie Fieg durfte für diesen Monat Hand anlegen. Mit dem Tubular Doom Primeknit hat sich Ronnie Fieg eine Silhouette ausgesucht, die moderner nicht sein könnte, wird sie doch gerade in diesem Monat releast.
Der Upper besteht aus Primeknit, der Cage, der Jahreszeit entsprechend, aus Wolle, die Farben sind, wie für NYC typisch, schlicht gehalten.
Komplettiert wird der urbane Look vom Motto „JUST US“, das stellvertretend für KITH, Fieg’s Store steht.
Der adidas Consortium Tubular Doom Primeknit KITH wird am 23. Januar bei Kith und kithnyc.com releast, weltweit ist die Kollaboration am 30. Januar bei No.74, No.42 und ausgewählten Consortium-Händlern zu haben.
Last week the three stripes announced their „ADIDAS CONSORTIUM TOUR“ – 12 stops, 12 stores, 12 months – all around the world. The first stop will be New York City this week – birthplace of the sneaker culture and therefore the best place to start such an epic tour.
Sneakerstore KITH that is owned by Ronnie Fieg had the chance to create the first collab of a new adidas Originals silhouette that is just being released this month. They used grey, black and white materials to represent the typical colours of NYC for their Tubular Doom Primeknit.
The silhouette itself is recognizable through its high sock liner that goes up over the ankle. Primeknit is used on the upper featuring a woollen cage to add warmth during the colder months.
Kith’s slogan „Just Us“ on the heel guard completes the look, Ronnie Fieg demonstrates his deep-rooted understanding for contemporary sneaker executions again.
The Pre-Release of the Tubular Doom Primeknit KITH will take place at kithnyc.com and KITH NYC on January 23rd while the worldwide release via Consortium accounts, No.74 and No.42 will take place on January 30th.
