The 3 Stripes are keeping the innovations coming. Having recently revealed the forward-looking Nemeziz Tango football collection, adidas is stepping up its basketball program with the updated adidas Basketball Crazy Explosive 17 Primeknit with an all-white Primeknit upper and sock-like entry.
The court-ready shoe reflects learnings from adidas basketball offerings such as the performance-proven Harden, Dillard, and D Rose models that have built a strong following among core players.
Technical innovations include a Boost sole under a semi-translucent TPU overlay to protect against roll-overs, nylon lace loops with a five-hole lacing system for a tight fit, breathable material over the arch, and an ankle sleeve entry.
Branding is kept minimal, with three stripes added over the ankle on the lateral, plus the words ADIDAS BASKETBALL in bold print over the heel. Next to the clean white version, adidas has also advertised a gray-and-yellow version with the same tech, but louder colors.
So where can you cop a pair? While the adidas Basketball Crazy Explosive 17 Primeknit has already released in Taiwan in early June, we are still waiting for an official release in Europe and the rest of the world.
