The 4D technology by adidas is still one of the most coveted new sneaker innovations money can buy. While more and more models released in recent months, these particular sneakers still remain a rather rare sight. And if you’re determined to cop a pair, there’s also the hefty price tag that’s usually around the 300 € mark. But when you spot an on-feet pic on the ‘gram, it’s usually a pic worth a look. People obviously cherish their prized possesions and present them in the most eye-catching way possible. From the sleek Futurecraft Runner or Alphaedge 4D to the retro-inspired ZX 4000 4D, the forward-thinking cushioning technology is as variable as it is unique. That’s why we picked out some of our favorite adidas 4D on-feet shots from Instagram. Take it as some decision support on whether to shell out a small fortune on the next release.

DID YOU KNOW?
While the vast majority of adidas 4D sneakers feature the signature “Ash Green” sole unit, we might also see different tones soon. The Y-3 Runner 4D II that finally launched in May 2019 used a bone white variant to match its Core White colorway. That raises hopes for those that patiently await more color variety.
