The tireless tinkerers at NikeLab have created one of the company’s latest low-top runner silhouettes: Originally introduced in November 2016, the NikeLab Air Zoom Spirimic is a fusion of running tech with lifestyle-ready comfort. Arriving this week, the hybrid silhouette will hit stores in the U.S. and Europe in new colorways.
Poised to launch globally on Thursday, January 26 (09:00 CET), at Nikelab and select retailers including Overkill and 43einhalb, the NikeLab Air Zoom Spirimic will drop in three new colorways: Loyal Blue, Team Red, and Boomboo.
The shoe is a hybrid design derived from the fusion of the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon’s running midsole with the Nike Seismic’s upper – both introduced as Alpha Projects in 2000 – also reflected in the hybrid name SPIRI + MIC = Spirimic.
The new silhouette brings some performance-proven heat to the street: The Nike Air Zoom Spirimic sits on a resilient Nike Zoom Air unit, while molded leather fingers add support over the upper’s breathable mesh material. The white outsole provides traction, complemented by leather heel loops and pull-tabs on the tongue.
The NikeLab Air Zoom Spirimic will release on Thursday, January 26 with a €169.95 price tag online, at select Nike stores and sneaker retailers. Overkill will launch the shoe Online at 9:00 AM (CET) and sell remaining stock 11:00 AM in-store, while 43einhalb kicks it off in-store only on the same day.
